Agiledemics – Agile In Academics Initiative

The purpose of the Agiledemics Initiative is to promote Agile education in academics (students and educators in schools, colleges, and universities) through community-based hubs. Unlike existing commercial offerings, the Agiledemic Hubs are community-based and provide FREE education and mentorship to Students and Educators on Agile and emerging working culture, as they prepare to participate in the workforce.

Main Activities

  • Organize and support long-running, self-sustaining Agile Communities of Learning (Hubs) in schools and colleges (includes the creation of scalable “Model of Operation” or blueprint that can be leveraged)
  • Attract Agile Professionals to volunteer in sharing knowledge and mentoring
  • Attract local organizations to provide internship opportunities
  • Recognize contributors and learners

Key elements and activities

  • Education around using agile in school, home, and community
  • Mentoring Program
  • Internships with local businesses
  • Local event- school, community, state, Nations
  • Location and Live link to international conferences
  • Peer support- Ted Talk-like sessions, study groups, Hackathons

How you can participate

  • Ambassadors will support the initiative in their respective communities.
  • Volunteers – Agile Professionals supporting the execution and running of Agiledemics programs
  • Hosts – Schools, Colleges, and Universities hosting the Agiledemic Hubs
  • Partners –  Local organizations providing support like internships and co-op opportunities to participants (Students and Educators)
