AI-Assisted API Testing: What Works, What Doesn't, and Where You Step In – Gil Zilberfeld

Thursday, 21 May 2026 | 11:00 am EST | Virtual Webinar

API testing is a time problem. Functionality, data, performance, security – we want to cover it all, and we never have enough hours.

So I threw an API schema at an LLM and said: “go.” Ten seconds later, I had some test cases. Ten minutes more – I had test data, setup scripts, assertions, even a Jira bug report template. But it based the tests on assumptions that it made, and generated 700 lines of unverified test code.

In this talk, I’ll show how AI can help across API testing activities – planning, case suggestions, data preparation, test generation, refactoring, analysis, and reporting. You’ll see every prompt, every response, and every place where testing judgment caught what the AI missed.

AI gives you speed. Testing gives you the judgment to use it. That’s the shift: from doing all the testing to validating what the machines produce.

For anyone who works with APIs and wants to see what AI actually changes about testing them – not someday, today.
