We are pleased to announce that on 24 November, Denise Jarvie joined PMI as Director, Agile Community, and Managing Director for Agile Alliance. In her new role, Denise will play a critical role in growing and nurturing the global community of Agile professionals, continuing the integration of Agile Alliance into PMI, and leading our Agile Content and Innovation Platform (CIP).
Denise brings a wealth of experience and expertise in Agile leadership and organizational transformation. Her passion for community development and shaping the future of work makes her a valuable addition to our team. Denise joins us from WESCO International, Inc., where she was a Senior Director of Global Digital and Agile Transformation, leading and inspiring large-scale change across multiple regions to deliver enterprise outcomes.
Before joining WESCO, Denise built deep Agile and transformation experience across multiple industries—working in the defense sector at Northrop Grumman, in manufacturing at Knorr-Bremse AG, and in professional services at Humphreys & Associates, Inc., H&A Radically Better Agile, and Scrum Inc.
A U.S. Army veteran, Denise served as an Active-Duty Military Intelligence Analyst and later as an Officer with the Colorado Army National Guard. She holds degrees from Grand Valley State University and the American Military University.
In her new roles, Denise will be tasked with:
- Growing and nurturing the global Agile community
- Executing a strategy for Agile Alliance and leading the Agile Alliance team
- Supporting the development of the suite of Agile offerings in professional development, upskilling, learning, and content
- Leading the global debate and expanding the vision of agility beyond software development towards enterprise agility
Denise will provide direction, strong momentum, and growing influence by developing, executing, and integrating initiatives in the Agile space. She will grow and nurture a thriving Agile ecosystem within PMI and Agile Alliance, inclusive of leading the Agile Alliance organization.
