The purpose of the Agile Product Management Initiative is to bring together the product management and Agile communities in order to show how agile practices can support the work of both agile and product people. Our focus will be on aligning principles throughout the system of delivery. In addition, we will also touch on design principles as these are integral parts of both Agile and Product. Our goal is to bring together what should be the unified worlds of Product Management and Agile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initial step is to understand the gap and where cultures diverge \u2013 once we understand, we can engage the community to propose new ways of working. We aim to empower and support product leaders, Agile leaders, and product development teams by providing a platform for ongoing learning, networking, and knowledge sharing. The overriding vision is to elevate the ability of product professionals to deliver valuable products that meet customer needs, satisfy stakeholders, and contribute positively to society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We seek to help evolve the product owner role that currently exists in Agile methods \u2013 understanding the \u2018why\u2019 of the role, where this role should intersect within teams and align with customer experience. Through collaboration and co-creation, we strive to make better products in better ways, ultimately changing the world for the better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
