Shape the Future of Agility at Scale – Together

Enterprise Agility Initiative

Agile Alliance is leading a global conversation to co-create a new manifesto for enterprise agility. Join us in this community-driven effort.

In 2001, 17 individuals created the Manifesto for Agile Software Development, a foundational statement that has influenced how we work, build, and lead ever since.

But over the past two decades, Agile has expanded beyond software into all corners of the enterprise. As organizations scale agility to meet increasingly complex demands, many practitioners have asked: How do we honor the original spirit of agility while addressing the challenges of today’s enterprise?

Agile Alliance is beginning a collaborative initiative to investigate that question. In partnership with PMI, we are inviting the global community to help develop a Manifesto for Enterprise Agility — a document rooted in experience and created through transparent, inclusive participation.

“We are launching the work on the Manifesto for Enterprise Agility, to advance the shared vision of Agile Alliance and PMI. This is a community-driven initiative. Join us and lend your voice to this critical work!”

— Song Bac Toh, Agile Alliance Board Chair

Begin with this framing talk by Agile Manifesto co-author Jim Highsmith from Agile2025, where he shares why now is the time to reflect and evolve: Watch Jim Highsmith’s talk

Then, contribute your ideas, provocations, and lessons via our public Lucid Board — the first stop in our journey: Contribute now (log in is required to track contributors)

This is not a rewrite — it’s an extension. A chance to collectively reflect on agility’s evolution at scale, and identify what’s needed now.

Join us in Phase 1 before November 15, 2025. Additional information and instructions are included on the Lucid Board mentioned above.

Let your voice help guide where agility goes next.
